Synopsis

The following article describes the structure and components of the CensorNet Desktop Surveillance product.

CensorNet Desktop Surveillance is a Microsoft Windows based client-server application specially designed to monitor and view user activity remotely.

CensorNet Desktop Surveillance includes the following components:

  • DesktopSurveillance Server: The Server is used for storage of the video received from Clients that are installed on your computers. The server includes the Administrative Panel) which is used to manage clients, packages and user permissions.
  • DesktopSurveillance Viewer: The Viewer provides an easy to use interface for quick viewing and analysing of the video received from the Clients.

  • DesktopSurveillance Clients: A Client is installed on each of the computers you wish to monitor and record,  Clients record the screen in the specified video quality and based on the defined frequency and send the resulting video to the server. The Client can be installed remotely or locally on each computer to monitor.

Within the structure there can only be one server however there can be multiple viewers and clients.
