Could not retrieve MAC Address of the Peer error message

If you receive the error Could not retrieve MAC Address of the Peer then you are most likely on a complex routed network or one whereby ARP cannot resolve MAC addresses. The solution is to use "IP Identification" for workstations rather than "MAC Identification"

To do this, go to System -> Configuration -> Workstation Identification and choose IP address.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Changing modes will remove all your workstation objects and groups.
