This article explains what tasks you should complete when you are getting started with CensorNet.
After you have installed your CensorNet, you should take the time to perform the following actions. Each step is covered by a separate article.
1. Ensure the System BIOS clock is set to GMT.
2. Set the time zone and the date/time to your local settings
3. Choose the Authentication method you require.
4. Select the Workstation Identification method that suits your network.
5. (Optional) Add or Import your workstations.
6. (Optional) Add or Import your users.
7. Configure the policies and filters you desire.
8. Define the default policy and assign policies to users or workstations.
Now that you have configured your CensorNet, you should take steps to ensure that people cannot bypass it. These steps are discussed in the article "How can I ensure everyone goes through the CensorNet".
Once you have your network locked down your users can surf the 'Net and you can be safe in the knowledge that your web usage policy is being applied.
