Restricted Policy Content Classifier

This article discusses why Restricted Policies have the Custom Classifier module available to them.

We have added the Content Classifier Module to restricted policies because it is quite possible that you want to to allow your users to have access to a type of site without knowing all the possible URLs that may fall within such a definition.

Clearly, only sites that are categorised in the CSRV database will be permitted by setting a category to "Allow". Any unclassified sites will be blocked, unless you add them to a Custom URL category that you allow within the policy.

If you are nervous about the use of categories within a restricted policy, simply leave all the categories set to "Ignore". In that case, URLs will be deemed "unclassified" and thus blocked, unless you have explicitly added them in the Custom URL filter.
