Upgrading from CensorNet Professional 1.8

Important notes

This upgrade will change the method that CensorNet uses to classify web sites and will remove the CSRV URL database. You must review your policies after upgrading as there are new categories available and old ones that have been merged or removed. You should also download the new CSRV database after the upgrade is complete. Please read this article for the important notes.

To ensure the upgrade runs as smoothly as possible please run the following Pre-Upgrade Check script. You can do this by logging into your CensorNet server as root and typing (or copy and paste) each line followed by enter:

wget http://www.censornet.com/tools/checkupgrade.sh

sh checkupgrade.sh

You should see the word Finished displayed. If so, please continue with the upgrade otherwise contact Technical Support.

Perform a normal upgrade procedure

Please follow the upgrade instructions found here to complete the upgrade.
