Users get prompted to enter a username password when using Windows 7 and Transparent NTLM authentication is configured.
It is necessary to create the following key in the registry to solve this problem, or upgrade to the latest version of CensorNet Professional (for free) and use Transparent Kerberos authentication instead (compatible with Windows 7 and Vista).:
1. In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa If the key does not exist, create a DWORD value named
LmCompatibilityLevel
and set the value to 1 to use LM NTLM and NTLMv2 if it is detected.
2. Restart the Web browser and attempt to use the proxy again.
