Windows 7 WPAD problem

Article

The credit for this one goes to Matthew Pendleton for solving it for us. Thanks Matthew.

If you have Windows 7 machines on your network, but the browsers don't appear to be picking up the WPAD settings, try the following:

Go to Internet Options -> Advanced Tab and click "Reset". Now close the browser (make sure you close ALL the windows) and reopen it, and the browser will pick up the wpad settings from here on in.
