You have switched to MailSafe and you are receiving a higher than expected level of spam

It is important to remember that spammers will use a number of methods to try and inject spam into your mail server. They will wherever possible find ways to bypass an e-mail filter and where necessary spoof IP's and domains in an attempt to have their spam delivered.

Please check the following items:

1, Ensure that the only MX records for your domain are our addresses:

mail1.emailengines.com
mail2.emailengines.com

You can check your MX records by using the "Dig" command line tool, e.g. dig mx domain.com or an online version such as this one. If you have other MX records then spammers will try and use them to bypass the filtering.

2. Ensure that your e-mail server is firewalled to only accept connections from our servers. Wherever possible please use the DNS name for our servers:

mail1.emailengines.com
mail2.emailengines.com

If this isn't possible you may use our IP ranges:

209.208.116.210/28 or mask 255.255.255.240
64.37.60.156/30  or mask 255.255.255.252
64.37.60.160/30 or mask 255.255.255.252

If you can telnet direct to your e-mail server on port 25 then it is open to possible spam. You should resolve this as soon as possible.
