Synopsis

You get the error "Your request could not be processed at this time, this is probably due to network congestion so please try again later."

Article

If you are receiving this error it can be caused by one of two things:

  1. The proxy is not able to connect to the cloud service for online lookups (check DNS servers are ok and not running slow, if possible give CensorNet a public DNS server to use)
  2. The local URL database has become corrupt

If you believe the local URL database has become corrupt, please follow these steps to remedy:

1. Log in as root user

2. Stop the CensorNet proxy server by typing:

/etc/init.d/cnv4 stop

3. Move to the URL database directory:

cd /usr/share/cnv4/sitefilter

4. Make sure you are in the 'sitefilter' directory, and type:

rm *

4. Start the proxy again:

/etc/init.d/cnv4 start

5. Go to Filters -> URL database updates and download the URL database again.
