What is CensorNet MailSafe?
CensorNet MailSafe is an e-mail management solution hosted in the cloud. By e-mail management, we mean it provides a suite of features to help you more effectively manage e-mail in your organisation. E-mail for your domain(s) is redirected to our servers before it is delivered to your local e-mail server, such as Microsoft Exchange or Exim. These features include comprehensive anti-spam and anti-virus, one-click release from quarantine, archiving, reporting and webmail.
What is Software-as-a-Service?
Software-as-a-service is a method of delivering the software without needing to install hardware or software on the local network. The product is hosted in data centres on the Internet and the management of the product takes place by logging into a web site.
How is the initial cost of my requirements calculated and are there any ongoing costs?
MailSafe is priced on the number of active mailboxes for your domain(s) and is billed annually in advance based on a minimum 12 month term. We do not charge for multiple domains, aliases or dormant accounts, so you only pay for what you actually use.
At the end of the 12 month period you have the option to renew again and the price will be based once again on the number of active mailboxes you have - which may have increased or decreased.
We also take into consideration the type of organisation (business, government, education, charity) and the geographic location. There are special discounts for purchasing multiple years in advance.
Is CensorNet MailSafe suitable for schools?
Yes. CensorNet has a long history working with schools around the world to provide a safe Internet experience for pupils and students. We understand that schools may have thousands of e-mail accounts but not all will be active. We have various models to cater for school environments, such as only charging for staff mailboxes. Please ask our sales team for advice.
Do you provide discounts for education or not-for-profit organisations?
Yes, we discount our normal retail price by as much as 50% for education and charity customers. Please contact our sales team for a personalised quote.
Is there a "try before you buy" evaluation version?
Yes, you can try the service for free for 30 days. If you decide to purchase, you simply continue using the service and we send you the invoice.
Is it possible to host CensorNet MailSafe in my own data centre?
Yes, if you are an ISP or a Managed Service Provider, we can offer you the platform to host on your own servers, virtual machine or cloud infrastructure. Please contact our sales team for more information.
Can I use CensorNet MailSafe with my Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail account?
No, it is not possible to use MailSafe with domains that you do not control. It is necessary to change the MX records for the domain in order to redirect mail to our servers.
What mail servers are compatible with CensorNet MailSafe?
WAny SMTP server; such as Microsoft Exchange, Exim, Sendmail, QMail, etc.
