Inbound & outbound filtering
CensorNet MailSafe filters your inbound and outbound e-mail. In the event that a virus breaks out locally on your network, MailSafe can prevent spamming from your own servers as it is protecting outbound e-mail volume as well as inbound.
Safe & Deny lists
CensorNet MailSafe allows you to create your own customised lists of safe and denied senders, by e-mail address, domain or IP address.

CensorNet MailSafe prevents the distribution of unsuitable images via a third party module from Image Analyzer.
Webmail
CensorNet MailSafe has a webmail module which allows users to log in to the MailSafe portal to read, compose and manage their e-mail in the event that the local e-mail server is unavailable e.g. failure. Webmail is stored for 7 days, providing plenty of time to recover the e-mail server whilst not interrupting e-mail communication. The webmail module can also be used for remote workers or travelling employees to enable them to access their e-mail wherever they are.
Queuing
As MailSafe is your primary and secondary MX so in the event that your local e-mail server fails, e-mail will be queued for up to 7 days until your server is back online again. Once online, the mail will be delivered as normal.

As a reseller or service provider, you can provision your own customer accounts entirely through the web based portal.
Rules engine
CensorNet MailSafe has a sophisticated rules engine that allows you to completely customise how mail flows to and from your organisation. You can set up rules to inspect the content of e-mail, investigate attachments, size, headers, images and take appropriate actions such as deliver, drop, quarantine and notify. There are over 20 conditional triggers that can be set up. An example may be to quarantine e-mails over a certain size and notify the administrator.
Dictionary filtering
CensorNet MailSafe allows you to create an unlimited number of "dictionaries" which may contain text strings such as e-mail addresses or keywords. The dictionaries can then be used as part of the Rules Engine to trigger various events. An example might be that you wish to check e-mail from a list of addresses (a dictionary) to see if a set of keywords (another dictionary) exists in the body of the message.
Filtering
Messages can be filtered based on size, keywords, spam score, time, source, destination, attachments and more.
Disclaimers
Append a HTML and/or plain text disclaimer on all outbound e-mail. Set different disclaimers for different domains..
Quarantine
Suspected spam is quarantined and the quarantine can be managed by the administrator or by the recipients in the form of a quarantine digest email. The email lists all messages in the quarantine and allows the user to release or block the messages, without needing to login to the portal. Alternatively, log into the portal with the "quick login" link in the e-mail and view the message in a safe environment before releasing it.
Roles based administration
CensorNet MailSafe uses group based permissions to allow access to the portal. It is therefore possible to create administrator users with different roles, such as only access to the Quarantine, or only access to the Reports.
Event audit trail
All actions and events are logged in the Event Viewer allowing the administrator to see exactly what user has performed a certain action within the portal.
Company Email Audit
The Company Email Audit provides complete visibility on inbound and outbound messages for your domain(s). The e-mail audit allows you to examine the exact reason an e-mail was delivered or rejected, including the conversation with the remote e-mail server.

The action report shows a break down of actions applied to e-mail. The actions relate to

Report on bandwidth usage by user, machine, category and domain.
Top 20 Reports
The Top 20 Reports provide a snapshot of useful information for the administrator, for example the Top 20 violating users/workstation, Top 20 most accessed sites and so forth.
Top Tables
The Top Tables Reports provide a 30 day overview of the most popular Web sites, most active users/workstations, most violating users/workstations providing the administrator with a birds eye view of their Internet usage.
Who's Browsing
The Who's Browsing report shows an instant snapshot of the users and workstations accessing the Internet through the CensorNet proxy.
PDF/CSV Reports
Export report results and snapshots to Adobe PDF or CSV format.
Crystal Reports
Access the CensorNet database via ODBC and use the power of Crystal Reports to generate custom reports and mine data held by CensorNet. Free ODBC driver available.
Archive Manager
On very busy networks CensorNet can quickly collect gigabytes of information. The Archive Manager allows the administrator to move old data to an archive to improve performance. Archives can also be included in the reports created using the Report Builder.
