System Requirements

The following specifications are provided as a guideline. CensorNet has been designed with performance and scalabilty in mind and can be installed on a large number of PC's, servers and virtual machines.

For networks with up to 50 workstations:
• Intel Celeron or AMD Duron/Sempron
• 2GB DDR RAM
• 80 GB S-ATA HDD (minimum 7,200 rpm)
• 10/100 Network Card

For networks with up to 100 workstations:
• Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon Processor
• Minimum 512Kb L2 Cache
• 2 GB Fast DDR RAM
• 80GB S-ATA HDD (minimum 7,200 rpm)
• 10/100 Network Card

For networks with up to 500 workstations:
• Intel Core2 Duo, Dual XEON or AMD X2 Dual Core
     (ensure Hyper Threading/Logical Processors are disabled in BIOS)
• Minimum 512Kb L2 Cache
• 2 GB Fast DDR RAM (4 GB recommended)
• Hardware RAID Controller
• 2x 150GB 10,000rpm S-ATA/SCSI HDD (configured as RAID1)
• 10/100/1000 Network Card

Software Requirements:
• Debian 4.0 Linux
• Web browser with Javascript & AJAX support
• Adobe Flash Player & Reader
• SSH Client (e.g. PuTTY, SecureCRT)
