Censornet has been selected as a finalist in the Innovative Product of the Year – Cloud Based category in the 2019 Cyber Security Awards, for its latest industry breakthrough: the Autonomous Security Engine (ASE).

ASE is changing the game when it comes to cyber security, taking the industry beyond events and alerts, and into 24×7 automated attack prevention. It is the first product on the market to enable traditionally siloed services to share and react to security events and state data whilst leveraging world-class threat intelligence. This award shortlisting recognises that ASE is taking a new approach to lifting the burden off security teams facing myriad security alerts, and even helping to prevent attacks in real-time, driving security to new heights.

The Cyber Security Awards were established in 2014 to reward the best individuals, teams and companies within the industry. Excellence and innovation are core themes throughout all categories of the awards. Censornet were chosen as a finalist out of some of the most innovative companies in cyber security. Leading industry professionals from consultancies, technology firms, defence businesses, FTSE 250 and public sector bodies will all be present at the awards ceremony.

Ed Macnair, CEO of Censornet, said: “We are delighted that, with ASE, Censornet has created the first product to meet the needs of the cyber security community today, addressing issues such as the security skills gap and cyber fatigue. We are committed to constant innovation, providing our customers with forward-thinking solutions to the very real threats they are facing. We are extremely proud that our hard work has come to fruition – our ASE solution is truly changing the standard of the cyber security industry.”

Awards judge Karla Reffold said: “The competition this year is incredibly tough and diverse. This was the toughest year so far to have made the shortlist. There are so many fantastic individuals, innovative products, and companies that are doing great things within cyber security.”

Censornet has also recently been named as a finalist for the SC Awards Europe, with the winners being announced on the 4th of June. These achievements are indicative of recognition in the industry that is growing around the company since the launch of ASE.

The winners will be announced at the Cyber Security Awards dinner and presentation at the Park Plaza Hotel, Victoria, on the 4th of July 2019.
